Family history help, face to face

Genealogy Labs is a community genealogy service based at our local amenity center in Monroe, North Carolina. We help people preserve family materials, organize what they already have, and take practical next steps in family-history research.

Regular in-person hours: Mondays, 2:00-4:00 PM. Additional visits may be arranged through a Genealogy Labs associate.

Public Research Hours

Genealogy Labs has reserved Mondays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for in-person genealogy assistance. Members of the public may arrange a visit through Genealogy Labs. A Genealogy Labs associate can meet the visitor, provide access to the research area, and assist as appropriate.

No-cost access: Genealogy Labs does not charge visitors for use of FamilySearch resources or the Genealogy Labs research workstation.

What We Are Building

Genealogy Labs began as a practical way to help neighbors and other researchers preserve family history. The current emphasis includes photo scanning, digital preservation, genealogy research assistance, and a growing community research station.
