Genealogy Labs focuses on practical, one-on-one help. We are not a commercial genealogy firm and do not promise research conclusions. Our role is to help people preserve evidence, organize information, and use available genealogy tools more effectively.

Family Photo Scanning

• Bring original family photographs to a scheduled Genealogy Labs session.
• Receive hands-on assistance scanning photographs into digital image files.
• Organize scans into simple digital folders or albums.
• Learn basic practices for naming, storing, and backing up family images.

Genealogy Research Assistance

• Help defining a specific genealogy question.
• Reviewing existing family trees, notes, and records.
• Identifying promising record collections and research paths.
• Helping researchers distinguish documented facts from family tradition or inference.
• Organizing digital genealogy materials for easier future use.

Local Research Workstation

Genealogy Labs is setting up an internet-connected genealogy workstation at the amenity center for on-site family-history research during regular Monday sessions and arranged visits.

FamilySearch Affiliate Access

Genealogy Labs has been approved as a FamilySearch affiliate. Affiliate access can provide additional viewing permission for some restricted historical record series, especially digitized microfilm records.
